Application MNI offers several levels of membership: Active: Anyone who actively engages in any aspect of communications for remuneration may be eligible for active membership. Student: Anyone enrolled in college communications programs may also be eligible for membership. Students receive the same benefits as active members but may not propose, second or vote on motions, hold office, or be counted for quorums. High School Student: High School Student members may attend meetings and enter into discussions but have no vote and are not eligible to enter the regular Communications Contest. Emeritus: Any NFPW member in good standing at least five years who retires from full-time professional employment and does not receive substantial remuneration from any aspect of communications work may elect to become an Emeritus member. Honorary: MNI may confer Honorary membership status to recognize meritorious achievements. The two classifications of Honorary membership are Working Honorary and Courtesy Honorary. Corporate: Any cooperation or association whose business is to promote, develop, market or provide communications is eligible for Corporate membership in MNI and NFPW. Corporate members are permitted up to three representatives. Send the membership application, signed by an MNI member as a sponsor, with a sample of journalistic endeavor and a check (made out to National Federation of Press Women), to: Kitty
