Books: January 26, 2007 All Other: February 16, 2007 The MNI Communications Contest recognizes excellence in communications. The "message" -- how well it communicates, how it is directed to its target audience, how well it achieves its objectives -- is the judging standard. Entrants must be professional, student or retired members of NFPW and MNI. How to enter the MNI Communications Contest: Note: To be eligible, members must have paid 2007 NFPW dues. Dues for new members may be paid until March 14, 2007 for book contestants, and April 4, 2007 for all others. 1. Select your best work published or broadcast between January 1, 2006 and December 31, 2006. 2. Determine the best category for your entry by checking out the Communications Contest rules, available for download in Word format here, or at the NFPW web site. 3. Double check to make sure your work is entered in the proper category. Entries in the wrong category or sub-category will be disqualified. 4. Read the national rules very carefully for your category and sub-category. Some categories have special requirements such as cover sheets, extra requirements for photos or web materials, etc. The national rules are available for download in Word format here, or at the NFPW web site. 5. For each entry, fill out a separate entry form. Fill the form out clearly and completely.
7. Place your entry (or entries) in a larger envelope or box for mailing. 8. Provide a check or money order for $10 per entry made out to Media Network Idaho. 9. Make sure all entries and payment are packaged securely. Mail book entries by January 26, 2007 and all other entries by February 16, 2007 to our MNI Communications Contest Chair: Peggy
